PROJECT FREIGHT PROOF

The Pool Delivery That Needed a Second Look.

An oversized fibreglass pool shipment became more complicated when the real outside dimensions changed the transportation plan. MooseLink reviewed the details, built the right approach, and delivered the load smoothly.

01 — UNDERSTAND THE LOAD

It Was Not Just a Pool. It Was an Oversized Freight Move.

The freight was an oversized fibreglass pool requiring careful transportation planning. At first, the shipment appeared straightforward. But when freight is wide, high-value, and difficult to reposition, the details matter long before the truck arrives.

Why Fibreglass Pool Moves Need Careful Planning

  • Outside width affects transport requirements
  • Trailer selection must fit the actual load profile
  • Securement must protect a high-value finished product
  • Delivery access must be considered before pickup
  • Final placement requires coordination beyond the road move

02 — THE CHALLENGE

The Outside Width Changed Everything.

The pool had initially been described using measurements that did not fully reflect the outside width required for transportation. Once MooseLink reviewed the real specifications, the shipment required a more detailed plan around equipment, routing, delivery conditions, and execution.

Other carriers had declined the job, and the broker was unable to secure coverage.

14' width × 30' length × 3'6"–6' depth. The 14-foot outside width triggered oversize transport requirements.

Initial Assumption

The original dimensions made the job appear more manageable.

Actual Transportation Requirement

The true outside width meant the load needed proper oversize planning and the right equipment.

With oversized freight, the difference between inside and outside measurements can change the entire move.

03 — THE MOOSELINK PLAN

The Right Equipment. The Right Plan. No Guesswork.

MooseLink stepped in to review the actual dimensions and build a practical transportation plan. The team worked through equipment fit, securement, load handling, timing, route considerations, and delivery coordination before committing to the move.

Equipment Fit

The trailer setup needed to match the real profile of the load.

Load Securement

The pool had to be protected and secured carefully for transport.

Delivery Planning

The destination needed to be considered before the shipment moved.

Clear Communication

The customer was kept informed as the details changed.

04 — DELIVERY EXECUTION

A Difficult Delivery Needs Coordination From Road to Final Placement.

Oversized pool deliveries depend on more than reaching the destination. Safe final placement requires the truck, site conditions, customer timing, and placement process to work together.

MooseLink helped bring the move through the final stage with clear communication and practical coordination.

Delivery Day Coordination

  • Safe vehicle and trailer positioning
  • Clear site-access planning
  • Communication with the receiving team
  • Coordination around final placement
  • Attention to the full delivery process, not just the road miles

05 — THE RESULT

A Smooth Delivery — And a Customer Who Knew They Had the Right Carrier.

The price needed to reflect the real transportation requirements of the move. MooseLink kept the process fair, transparent, and within the customer's working budget.

The result was a successful oversized pool delivery despite changing information and complications along the way.

Complex freight deserves a carrier that checks the details before the truck rolls.

PROJECT 02 — HEAVY HAUL

70-Foot Bridge Beams — Port of Québec City to Montréal.

MooseLink moved 70-foot-long bridge beams from the Port of Québec City to a yard in Montréal. Loads of this length leave no room for guesswork — the equipment, securement, and route all have to be planned around the full 70-foot profile before the truck moves.

With the right multi-axle setup and clear coordination between the port and the receiving yard, the beams were transported safely and delivered as planned.
